Pearl Managuelod
Pearl Managuelod is a current board of director of the Philippine Olympic Committee. She was Secretary General of the Muaythai Association of the Philippines for the 10 years. She is a strong advocate of women in sports, sports as a powerful tool in positive youth development and nation-building and believes in an athlete-centered philosophy in running sports associations. Her core values, excellence, empathy, and inclusivity – are reflected in the unprecedented successes of the Muaythai national team in the international sporting area and the personal development of the athletes and coaches.
She has spearheaded several social initiatives through sports with local government units, IFMA, and UNESCO and continues to play a key role in the continued development of Muaythai at the grassroots level. Her hard work and efforts have been repeatedly recognized by the international federation and have been a model for best practices by other countries.
She has two masters degrees under her belt in Sports Science from the University of the Philippines Diliman and Applied Sport Psychology from the University of Ottawa in Canada. She is transitioning into the academe and private practive, and currently teaches Sport Psychology at the University of the Philippines Diliman. An avid sportsperson herself, she enjoys weight training, trains and competes in triathlons and duathlons and has completed several half marathons and full marathons.
Mary Joy Tabal OLY
MJ Tabal is a decorated Filipino marathon runner and Olympian. As the first Filipino woman to qualify for the Olympic marathon (Rio 2016), she has won multiple gold medals in the Southeast Asian Games and other prestigious competitions.
Known for her perseverance and passion for running, Tabal is an inspiration to aspiring athletes across the Philippines.
Angeline Marie “Dzi” Gervacio
She then became a Southeast Asian Games Bronze Medalist in 2019 and in 2021 became the Program Director for the Far Eastern University Volleyball teams. She is also active in TV broadcast and livestream sports coverage.
